Indonesia’s train schedule is changing on 1 April 2013.

Providing the only Indonesian train timetable in English and the only online train ticket booking service for visitors to Indonesia, there is an effort to keep all information current and up to date.

New train schedule 1 April

To this end, we would like to advise all current and future clients that the schedule is changing on 1 April 2013, when a new timetable will take effect.

Most changes are small, mostly trains departing a little earlier or later. There has not been any increase in price; being a state-owned company, the train operator must obtain government approval before raising fares.

Fortunately, the train operator didn’t sell tickets for trains after 31 March until the new schedule was finalised, so there will be no passengers with tickets saying the wrong departure time.

Train schedules in Indonesia do not change very often. However, the scheduled completion in November of a double-track between Jakarta and Surabaya has the potential to decrease travel time and increase capacity significantly.

You can see the new timetable here and make an enquiry here.
