
Air Asia opens a new route, Balikpapan to Kuala Lumpur, with a super cheap promo fare available.
Malaysian airline Air Asia will begin operating direct flights from Kuala Lumpur (Sepang), Malaysia to Balikpapan (Sepinggan) in East Kalimantan, Indonesia, from January 12th 2011, making Balikpapan the company’s 11th destination in Indonesia serviced from abroad.
The flights will operate three times a week – on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays – which brings AirAsia’s total number of flights into Indonesia from Kuala Lumpur to 126 per week.
Those who book between December 8th and 15th 2010 for the travel period January 12th to November 10th 2011 will receive a special discounted price of 88,000 rupiah, for the Balikpapan to Kuala Lumpur journey. The normal, non-promo fare is around 440,000 rupiah.
